Tongue tied // 口足手

After rote memorization and stroke practice, and wanting to have a temper tantrum and cry and give it all up because language acquisition is tough and challenging, I’ve found it helps to use this new language in the ways that English (my native tongue) lacks. When you are working in a medium (writing) whose agency is foreign in its form, but innate in its ability to express, one finds that a fresh iteration of the minds eye can be made with the hands. This one is mouth, foot, and tongue. It’s amazing that while a picture is worth 1,000 words, this one is also simply, three. —
