The Box Project is simple: submit your secrets and/or dreams to designated boxes and look for them to be wheat-pasted around town.
I started the Box Project last year at my university. We installed posters around our campus and got a HUGE response. People were interacting with their physical environment and not a cell phone or Facebook.
Now, the Box Project is taking on new life. It is a finalist in GOOD magazine’s Stories for GOOD project. GOOD’s call to arms: use storytelling to unite your community.
I can’t think of a better way to do that then the Box Project. Can you? Secrets and dreams are each person’s own tiny narrative.
With enough votes from YOU, the Box Project can have new and bigger life around the entire town of Santa Fe, where I live. But the votes need to be cast for it to win the prize money. And, the prize money will help fund the project’s full completion. I am talking about doing this thing the right way and giving all people’s stories the justice they deserve.
So, if you dig the idea and want some more info, click over to GOOD projects. You have to create an account to vote but it’s free to join. Only one vote per person. Voting goes from today, JUNE 12 at NOON until JULY 3.
Let’s have the WordPress blogging community support the community in which I live . This is what Home Is a Lonely Hunter is all about.
